What It Is
Abandoned Cart automation sends a reminder to shoppers who added products to their cart but did not complete checkout.
It recaptures high-intent customers who often just need a timely nudge to finish their purchase.
Example Message
MMS with product image (SMS fallback if not supported):
“Your favorites are still in your cart. Complete your purchase now before they sell out: {{product_url}}.”
Best-Practice Default Settings
- Message Type: MMS with product image (preferred); SMS fallback if image not available
- Timing: 30 minutes after cart abandonment
Inclusions
- Cart contains at least one product
- User is identified and opted in
Suppressions
- If an order has been placed within the last 7 days
- Quiet hours: 8 PM–8 AM local (messages queued until morning)
Product Logic
- Features the most recently added item (or the first item if multiple in cart)
Frequency Controls
- Max 1 message per cart event
